Our Purpose
Holden Street Neighbourhood House Inc is a public institution which has the charitable purpose of advancing social and public welfare by:
• Advance mental health and prevent social isolation by providing relief of poverty, helplessness, misfortune, suffering and distress for economically or socially disadvantaged people in the community, particularly the people located in Fitzroy North and surrounding areas.
• Provide a physical location where it supports individuals to work on projects or undertake activities in the company of others.
• Provide opportunities for those with intellectual, physical and other disabilities to develop basic adult literacy skills and improve their community participation.
• Provide a broad range of personal and social support programs and services for those facing extreme distress, hardship and poverty.
